For over 35 years, the staff at Country Village has created a family atmosphere of loving care. We are well known for caring for generations of families in the Chico area. Our “village”, set on over two acres, consists of the Country House for those needing supportive care or with mild memory loss; The Commons for those with mid-to-late stage memory loss, and our Day Program for those who can still live at home.
Country House

Country Commons
An assisted living residence specially designed for those with mid to late-stage memory loss or those with higher care needs.
Our caregivers provide assistance and supervision with daily activities such as eating, bathing, grooming and bathroom visits. A higher level of staffing, combined with specialized training, ensures that our residents are given the individualized attention essential to enjoying the highest possible quality of life.
Day Program
The Day Program is designed to provide relief for caregivers and an opportunity for their family member to enjoy social activities. The Day Program is unique because of its flexible hours. Our Day Program is on hold because of state Covid rules.
Respite Care provides overnight, weekend, or longer stays so that caregivers can have time off while their loved one is being cared for by our experienced staff.
Angels Among Us
A generous donation has been made to Country Village in honor of a wonderful woman and much-loved former resident, Patricia Butchart. This touching gift was made by Hardesty and Sons Inc, a local contracting company here in Chico.
Their ties to the Butchart family are through Pat’s son, Terry, who worked for the Hardesty Company for many years. Hardesty and Sons Inc. understand the challenges faced by small local businesses which have been impacted by Covid-19. Terry Butchart and the Hardesty's also both had parents cared for by the Country village staff until the end of their lives.
This donation will be used to help the facility weather the COVID-19 crisis by providing wages for staff during their quarantine.
Patricia, known as Pat, was a true treasure to care for here at Country Village. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any space she entered and was always quick with affection for family, friends, and caregivers alike.
Born on June 24th, 1945, she lived a full life surrounded by her close-knit family and many devoted friends. She was happily married to her husband Frank and lovingly raised two children: Terry and Holly. We had the honor of caring for Pat at Country Village for just over two years until she left this world for God’s arms on December 17th, 2020.
She will be most remembered for the lives she touched while she was on this earth.
